K-8 Home Study Program

Enrollment for this school year (2018-2019) has ended.  Check back with us this summer as registration will begin for next year (2019-2020) in August.

Our Home Study model requires a parent/guardian to be the student's primary instructional coach.  They will need to dedicate a generous amount of time to plan and  teach lessons, create a safe learning environment and set aside a few hours every day to help the student study and complete their homework.  The student and parent will meet with their teacher at Las Flores to check in on a weekly basis for assessments and any other additional support needed.  There are some field trips and events on campus that gives home study students the opportunity to meet each other.  If you are looking for an online program, please click on the link for the Elk Grove Virtual Academy.

If you decide that Home Study is the best fit for your student needs, you will be invited to register and begin the school year with us.   The first day of school was August 16, 2018 but we continue enrollment as space permits.  You must submit your completed registration packet and bring all required documents for registration to the office (refer to the link How to Enroll for the list). The Data Processor is available between 8:30AM - 12:00 noon or 1:00 - 3:30PM to verify your paperwork and the teacher will call you to schedule your first appointment. Be sure to provide an active working phone number for us to contact you so your student can begin in a timely manner.
You will need to check out both the teacher and student edition of the same textbooks used at the comprehensive elementary and middle schools in our district.

For more information please contact the teacher in charge of K-8 Rogene Clements at 916-422-5604 ext. 51550 or Data Processor Rochelle Davis ext. 51502
